Due to the nature of the personal care and intimate support required by our current service users, this position has a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) for female applicants only, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities
- Personal Care – Assist with dressing, grooming, hygiene, continence management and safe physical handling/hoisting.
- Healthcare & Medication – Support rehabilitation programmes and assist with prescribed medications using our E-MAR system. Full training is provided.
- Dietary Support – Prepare nutritious meals and snacks and provide safe mealtime monitoring and supervision.
- Household Support – Help maintain a clean, tidy and organised home environment, including laundry, shopping and recycling where required.
- Compliance & Recording – Maintain accurate electronic care records and report urgent concerns promptly to management.
Requirements
TRANSPORT & DRIVING
- A valid Full UK Driving Licence is essential because the role involves travelling between community visits. Provisional licences cannot be accepted.
- You must have access to your own fully roadworthy vehicle with a valid MOT, current road tax and valid insurance including Business Use cover.
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION
- You must either be actively registered with Social Care Wales (SCW) or be able to complete registration by the end of your 3-month probationary period.
- Candidates are responsible for their own Social Care Wales registration costs (£30 application fee).
COMPLIANCE
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
- Satisfactory professional references will be required.
